George Jopp and Tony Page started the Southwest Electrical Group Inc (SEGI) in 1998 after long and successful sales, marketing and general management careers with General Electric Co and Hoffman Enclosures. In 4 years SEGI has grown into a supplier of Outsourced Sales, Marketing and Territory Management Services in the Premise and Outside Plant network cabling, sound, security and electrical systems markets.

SEGI has fully equipped offices in Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Las Vegas and New Mexico employing the very best sales and customer service personnel in the industry. Our key employees all have employment experience with leading industry manufacturers, distributors and contractors. They are all cross trained.

Our corporate experiences have taught us what manufacturers should insist on from a company they hire to lead their territory sales effort. We are organized and structured to professionally manage your sales efforts in our assigned territories. We employ REP CONCERT sales force management software to track, manage and follow up on important distributors, customers and projects. Each office is a separate profit and loss center and is run by division managers measured on both sales growth and profitability.

We treat all aspects of the channel as a very important part of the sales effort and we emphasize specification effort as a way to maximize control of a project and close a sale at the highest price allowed by the market.

We are one of the few companies in our industry who have been able to achieve prominent positions in all of the segments we target. This was done by design because we believe electrical construction, utility, telecommunications and special systems will continue to converge and it will be increasingly important to be visible and entrenched in all of these segments.
